I believe this article was the very first one I ever published. So it's here as an archive item, perhaps of some historical interest, since I've heard there have been a few people who wanted it and couldn't find it in their libraries. I unfortunately do not have an html version after all these years (it was done on a manual typewriter, if you can believe that). For a scan of the original, go to this Dropbox link. (July 2014)
A shorter, and perhaps more readable version of Lingrepa's life may be seen at the website "Treasury of Lives," at this particular page. There you will also find reference to an article that comes to a little different conclusion about what it would mean if Lingrepa were to be regarded as the 'founder' of the Drukpa Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism.
