Entity is an ancient spirit, from a world beyond Vallene. It spent some time in recent decades possessing at different times a toymaker (Orander of Mir), an otherwise-friendly snowbeast, and a finely-crafted figurine given as a gift to a Najran merchant of some note. Despite its age and alien nature, Entity addresses those it interacts with in a very casual manner, often letting slip important information. It is unknown whether this is part of its own genius intellect, or simply carelessness.
In the aftermath of its most recent possessions, it has been confined to a full playset of Dragonchess, though its preferred piece is the queen. The chess set resides inside a sealed cavern on a distant island trapped in a perpetual blizzard.
Entity is capable of distorting spacetime and opening a door-sized gateway to anywhere in the universe it is familiar with. It came to reside on Vallene before even the creator gods, and has taken a liking to the planet. It has long-since given up on the prospect of returning to its own world.
