The Avar are beings of incredible power. While not quite at the level of actual gods, an Avar has absorbed enough Godsblood to be the closest thing to it on Vallene. Some Avar have patrons among the intelligent races. Others are simply powers in their own right, ruling some areas, or watching over the domain they have taken as their own.
