Zakul

Zakul resides within Lethral, a tower reaching out of the Crystal Sea. He is an Avar, and has lived within the tower since the end of the War of Blood. Prior to becoming an Avar, Lethral lead elven armies to pillage what would later become Vrue. There, he performed a massive blood ritual, draining the remaining Godsblood from the entire populace. Those unaffected rushed him in his vulnerable state, and he fled to the Crystal Sea. He has not emerged since, and Vrue still holds a grudge. It is believed that the crystal shards that give the sea its name, and form the base of the tower have tremendous magical power within them.
