Lesson 1. Transmission and transformation of motion

In this lesson we will learn which are the principles of Mechanical Engineering.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING is a branch of engineering that focuses in the design , production, analysis, working and improvement of technical objects with moving parts.

Mechanical engineering must take into account all aspects of motion in an object, namely

    • the guiding

    • the transmission

    • the transformation

    • changes in its speed

To be able to understand these subjects we must kwon how the parts of an object are connected and how free they are to move.

After watching the video, try to answer these questions:

Which is the difference between linear motion and rotational or circular motion?
