Food technology is one part of a range of subjects we will do during the year. The design process is what ties these very different subjects together. We start with a

                Brief – A simple statement of what we need to do

                Research – Finding out what we need to know, like, practical skills, equipment names, safety, materials

                Analysis – Finding out what people want or need from a product

                Specification – A list of tests that the product should pass, cost less than £2, Healthy, safe, etc.

                Ideas – A range of different ways you could complete the brief and specification

                Design Development – More research, experiments, tinkering to improve on your idea.

                Making – To plan and actually make the product  

                Evaluation - To look back to find improvements in the product and our own work.
