Dear John:

As I promised you, I'm going to send this mail for continue with the comment of yesterday in response to your message WhatsApp. This morning we have been busy with medical visits that we had pending and have been all the time away from home, which has not allowed me to send the e-mail until this moment.

First I want to say, as already I said to my daughter, is that felt a great pity for not being informed, just in time, of your wedding, because, apart from anything else, what is certain is that, in addition with people who accompanied you in that important date, also you had enjoyed our presence. Since we cannot return to the past, what now we have to do is try to regain that lost lot of time (more than three and a half years) narrowing our personal relationships and seize the time in all possible moments to share lives and experiences.

As I assume you has been informed, widely, by Sonia, about who we are, how we think and how we act, I will not do in this written any comments about this topic. I am sure that In our next personal meeting, we will have opportunities to do so.

I see, so you tell me in your message, that your family had been reduced to almost two brothers. Now, besides your wife and your daughters, also we are, who, without reservation, we are equally honored to belong to it

I reiterate you my strong interest in that we can meet soon for the first time, in order to meet us personally, and I look forward to set the date.

In order to have all our data: address, phone, etc., I point you below.

A big hug for everyone.

PS.

My wife, Juanita, tells me he hopes you spent a happy Christmas and that Santa Claus has brought many gifts; though, by that we see in the picture, at the tree, seems to have been very generous. She said me that I send a big kiss for all.

Dear Tino (Dad),

Can you tell me if it is ok to call you Dad, because say it with the most respect, (for Mum as well), because although we havent met yet,as I have always said, I feel you are like my own family.

Tino could I say something and I would love your comments, it was unfortunate that both of our parents missed our wedding for different reasons (although I tried, I always respect my wife's ways but I would have loved to have you there)

We can not do anything about my dear parents because they have passed on but, you guys are very much alive. I have always said to my beautiful wife that I would marry her everyday, would you do us the honour of giving your daughter to me in a small ceremony in Oviedo?, and I would Juanita (Mum) to be my "madrina", just something very simple and small

I think it would be a marvellous way to introduce me to the Spanish conexion and I promise I will prepare a speech in Spanish, I personally think it would be great

I am sure we can recover anything we migh have lost and I would love to meet you asap but a Spanish wedding will seal the two families

The reason I am writing to you so late is because I took Sonia and the kids to Glasgow and you know how they are trying clothes on hahaha

A big hug from you and Juanita

John

Dear John

First and foremost, I want to say you that both me and my wife, we have excited your words. We feel that, for the first time, our daughter has a real husband and our granddaughters a real father. For that reason, even though we do not know personally, you've already won our hearts and we accept you as a true son. Certainly we would love you to try us as parents (Dad and Mum), for us it would be an honor and a pleasure.

As for your suggestion, about proposal of celebrate a small ceremony in Oviedo, for to give my daughter to you, and celebrate your link with her, with my wife as godmother, we would love, so we're ready for when you can travel to Oviedo for it and we are looking forward by know the date. Of course that we will toast with Asturian cider (for me, the best drink in the world) and to take the chance for you to meet some places of our beautiful Asturias region.

I totally agree that hold an event like the above will be a good start for the two families for unite and form a more great family where we all feel very integrated. I'm sure that together we will succeed. In addition to the speech you say you're going to be prepared in Spanish, also I promise you I'll make another in English. The occasion deserves it...

Do not worry about sending your mail later, does not matter. I know what it means to go shopping with women, haha…

A big hug for all.

P.S.

John Taylor (johnysonitaylor@gmail.com)

Good afternoon John.

This morning, after breakfast, we have been visiting the village of Ribadeo and have not returned to the hotel until now. For that reason I could not write so far.

We see that Sonia has the flu, possibly infected by Alicia, because when this affects a family member, eventually affect everyone. Take care of them and give them a big hug from us for that the two get well soon. I am sure that it will. We hope that, at least, both you and Irene, will not affect.

I think that both, your speech in Spanish and my speech in English, will be good, but what I am sure is that the two will be sincere and exciting

I love that you liked my article about the Asturian cider. We shall have occasion to drink a few bottles together, and we will carefully so that it does not go to his head.

We also wish you a happy exit and entry of the year and are confident that, at least for us, will be the year in that we can see, at last, the whole family together. It is our greatest desire.

We will try to call to you tonight

A big hug for you, for Sonia and for the girls.

Good evening John:

Today we have been a little busy putting some order to things in our house, so I want take this moment of relaxation to answer your mail of yesterday.

We fully understand your excitement in the preparations for the celebration of your wedding in Oviedo, given that we also hope that arrives that day with great enthusiasm and emotion. It will certainly be a great day for the memory of all of us. Your idea of inviting those students that you know in Oviedo, to play bagpipes and drums at the ceremony, I think it is great. I do not know the current managing director of the Caja Rural de Asturias, although I know his name is Fernando.

For us, late March it seems a good time to celebrate your wedding in Oviedo. No problem. It is OK. But will you be able to come, with all of you, on these dates?

As for our trip to the UK, it is something that we are looking forward deeply. There is nothing in this world that could gladden more to us, than to be with you all. The only problem for us, more for my wife than for me, is the weather and medical visits that we have pending. We will try to resolve all, as best form as possible, for to have a period, of at least three weeks, to be with all you. We will be in touch to arrange a date.

A big hug from the bottom of our hearts.

Hi to you both and a happy wise kings! (we really miss you and I hope that will be the last year we spend it appart)

i hope you have had a relaxing day and you are in good health

It is 9.30pm here and we have just finished dinner and a few presents .

In england this day is not celebrated ( what a shame) and the kids go back to school tomorrow, they have been revising for the last three days, so they go back at the correct speed.

We have booked the wedding for 28th of march at 12.30pm, in England we were married by an Anglican church ( I am an Anglican and that was the first time for myself,), so we found and Anglican church in Oviedo (by the way it is in La Corredoria) if you call sonia she will explain everything in detail (as I am a devote Christian)

What have you been upto today? and how is mum? i worried about her a lot although its great to hear you both so positive about our future as one big family

Love johnnie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Very big hug from the botton of my heart

Hello John and family:

Today we spent all the morning to see the gifts of Wise Kings and in the afternoon we saw a movie. For here we are all well and hope that you too find yourselves well.

The date and time you have chosen for your wedding in Oviedo seem to us very good, and, also, the church is very close to our house. I would like you to tell us what day and what time is best by to talk to Sonia and specify the details.

We hope that the girls have had a happy return to school. We would like to talk with them when I call to you by phone, but do not know if it will be possible to talk to Ali.

As Mum is calling me for dinner, tomorrow I will send other mail to you for mentioning something more about your last mail.

A big hug for you all

John Taylor (johnysonitaylor@gmail.com)

Dear John:

As I said to you in my mail of yesterday, a bit improvised by time, wanted to comment something about religion.

In religious matters, officially, I belong to the Roman Catholic Church. I have been baptized into the Christian faith, and all religious acts, within my family, have been celebrated within that faith. You tell me you're Anglican and that you're a devout Christian. In reality the two churches agree in what is essential: the divine part, and only differ in accidental form: the human side, hierarchies and organization. No problem, therefore. In any case I always have a deep respect for all beliefs, except to those who want to impose their principles by force, as in the case of fundamentalist Islamic fanatics.

Professionally I am electrical engineer and have dedicated many years of my life to professional activity, at different levels of responsibility, and have combined some of them teaching at an official training center. I am now retired, and spend my time in my hobbies.

From the point of view of religion, although I have deep respect by all, I have not many concerns, although whether many doubts. Below I send two direct links to two articles of my blog, written some time ago, that, I think, may give you an idea of my thinking about it.

Dear Dad,

Thank you for your mail, I have read your articles and I found them very interesting and very truthful and I think you are quite correct, sometimes we can not believe how God allows these things to happen and I think because he is God we do not understand , my wife is writting a book of questions for him, I fear there will be a massive queu behind her (hahaha), my view has always been quite simple "try to believe although is difficult at times, try as well to be thoughtful, kind, trusworthy, loving and honest to yourself and those around you, also I believe a very big quality is simpathy with others

Spiritual believes are very personal and I respect most of them, but, like you I have a difficulty in understand and respecting muslem fanatics

I read "Proof of Heaven" and found it absolutely wonderful and it left me with a feel good factor, and the poem is something I would like it to be read at my funeral (I hope not too soon hahaha)

Now todays news:

Your daughter is driving me crazy and writting a list of 50 things to be done before you arrive... jolines!! hahaha

Irene's first comment was "Oh my God finally Granny's food I can not wait for it!!!!

Lys was very happy because she is going to have extra help with her duties, and none of us can wait to have you here

To pick you up from Stanstend is NO PROBLEM AT ALL, so if it is more convenient for you carry on

Today we have booked our flights so we will arrive in Asturias the 23rd of March at 10:15 am and we will leave the 31st at 21:45

Would it be possible for you to help us to organize a "espicha" for the the celebration of our wedding, I think it could be a good idea, what do you think about it as I have never been in one.

I am now going out to the garden to start ticking off some of my duties in Sonia's list (I would probably finish them the 22nd of May 2016 .. hahaha)

A very big hug for both of you

Juan Enrique

John Taylor (johnysonitaylor@gmail.com)

Dear Juan Enrique.

I think I can subscribe, point by point, what you tell me in your mail, your stance on religious themes, and you position about the behavior with ourselves and with our neighbors. Totally agree. I would love to know the battery of questions that Sonia is writing for God, I am sure that there will be many very interesting and also very difficult of answer. I do not like to see me in that place (hahaha..)

I love that you has liked the book "Proof of Heaven". I think everyone should read it. About the poem, it sure is appropriate to read at a funeral, but not a short term. I think that both, you and I, we can wait a long time for it. God willing, of course.

Regarding the issues of the day, I can tell you the following:

John, our presence in your home should not alter, nothing, your daily routine. For this reason the list of 50 points of Sonia should be reduced to minimum expression.

I see that the girls are very hopeful with the visit of their grandparents. Without doubt, we will endeavor to please them in everything that could be within our reach.

We take note of the date of your arrival and departure of Asturias and will prepare everything necessary to make your stay enjoyable

You do not have to worry about organizing the “espicha” to celebrate your wedding. With pleasure, I’ll will take care of everything. It is a good idea, no doubt. What I need is to know the approximate number of guests attending this event.

As for our trip to Cumbria, we are trying to specify dates (our idea is to be with you at least fifteen days between 2 and 21 February, according to the available flights). We need to talk to Sonia to finalize some details. We will try to call tomorrow. What time is best for you?

A big hug for all of Mum and Dad

John and family:

I hope that you all find yourself well. We, for now, also we find well.

These days I have been busy preparing some notes of physics to Alicia, on one of the subjects she had told me had some difficulty understanding. This is the case of projectile motion (one of the classical applications of trigonometry). I have done its step by step, so that they can easily understand. Attached the copy in pdf format (They are in Spanish. I am sorry but I could not do it in English because my domain in this language is not good for this type of work). If Alicia has read and understood the general trigonometry notes that I have sent last Friday, the 16th, will have no difficulty in understanding this application. If she could not do so, do not worry I'll explain to her all what she do not understand.

Apart of projectile motion, Alicia also told me something about vectors. It is important that you send me some exercise about of this matter, on what she are working in the school, so that I can orient about it, because it is a topic that has many applications.

In another vein, I want to inform you that we have already been in the "llagar" where we will celebrate the "espicha", the next day, March 28. When we go to see you, we shall confirm all the details and choose the menu. Attached I am sending a copy of the menus of various proposals that we provide, that can be combined with each other. Also it is possible incorporate other suitable items for this type of event.

Mum has already started preparing the bags for the trip and, as she can not carry all wardrobes, she have some hesitant about the clothes you may need (she always have afraid to be cold). Can you advise on this? ha ha ha.

A very big hug for all.

Hi Dad,

Thanks very much for your mail, Lys will have a proper look at it and, as we spoke about we will call you tomorrow and she can have a proper chat about it with you

My feet, back, brain, everything is aching so please.. can you hurry and get here to give me a rest! she driving me crazy hahaha it is a joke, but the truth is I can not wait to sit down in the evening with my parents having a glass of wine and speaking "Spanglish"

I have special thing I need to ask you for our wedding (Lys and Ire think is great!), but we will talk about it when you come

About the menu all of them are great but I would your opinion that we can discuss while you are here

Tell mum we keep our house around 23 degrees always, we have an open fire in the dining room and another fire in the lounge, she only needs to walk one meter to the car, but, when we go out it could be around 0, so it will be very good if she brings big coats and hats (I think Sonia is like her, always cold!! hahaha, and she says I am like you Never Cold hahaha, but I wear a hat as well, so, maybe it will be good for you to bring one), in any case I will keep her warm (I do this with my wife) with nice cups of tea or similar infusions during our days out

A very big hug for both

Hi John

John, you do not have to worry about the detail of the music in the "espicha", I had thought in it and we'll have a stereo at our disposal so that we can play the music you want (CD, DVD, Memory Stick, etc ). We will comment this issue when we are there.

When we go to see you, we will carry with us a video that we've made in the "llagar" that I hope you like it.

Mum took note of the recommendations on warm clothes. I hope we have enough suitcases to carry all, ha ha ha. For me, I think, no problem.

A very big hug for all.

Dear John

We just arrive at home. We've been all day away from home, doing some shopping, so I could not answer before.

I do not know if the stereo have the possibility to connect a microphone, but, in any case, we will endeavor to get it.

The main purpose of our visit is that we can meet in person and spend pleasant days together. The places to visit during this our first stay with you we leave it to your discretion. What we would like, of course, is to visit Gretna and the place where you have celebrated your wedding. That would cause us great illusion.

By the way, we have already bought hats and gloves to keep warm hands and head. For the rest of the body, although we are not accustomed to withstand low temperatures, we hope to carry enough clothes.

Mum tells me that she have a little scared with the agenda so tight that you are preparing, but he hopes not to disappoint anyone. Sure she will get it!

Take care of yourselves you all a lot too.

Hi John

At this time, we are fine, and hope that no problem to travel the day February 2. Just yesterday we confirmed the flights back and forth and have printed boarding passes.

Mum tells me is delighted that the weather improves there and is not too cold, and is very excited about this trip. Also she is excited for to see you all very soon.

As my conversation in English, at this time, is not good, and I need improve a lot (I have to think in Spanish before speak in English), you have to have a little patient with me, although I think we will spend fun times. I hope not to be a bad pupil.

Tomorrow we will spend all afternoon at home, therefore you can call when you want.

A very big hug for all.
