CSR15 Coupon Code - Reminders and Guidelines

Hi Ladies-

Today I discovered that the CSR15 coupon code has been used a few times unapproved. So, I went through every order it has ever been used on to see exactly what is going on and send you this friendly reminder of when and how to use this coupon code. Please make sure you are abiding by these guidelines because next time the reminder won’t be a friendly reminder.

Remember:

  • Every coupon code is used to monitor how and why the customer received it.
  • The CSR15 coupon code is NOT to be given out to customers so we can monitor that this code is being used properly and isn’t being used in a widespread manner. Only you 6 have access to this code and it needs to stay that way

I found 5 instances that this code was used without the order ever going through a Consumed Cartridge ZingTree page. And one time that the code was used correctly and the original order went thru a consumed page and offered the code BUT there were no notes in the original order.

Some Guidelines for this Coupon Code:

  1. NEVER give the coupon code to a customer to use online
  2. NEVER use this coupon code in place of a different valid coupon code (if a valid coupon code for 15% off will not work on the order you are placing a) check that ONLY compatibles are being ordered b) adjust the price manually on the order without a coupon code c) notate the Private Notes that you adjusted the pricing manually because “xxx” coupon code would not work)
  3. NEVER use this coupon code if I approve extending a past promo (if the promo is past date and I have approved extending it to a phone order for a customer a) check that ONLY compatibles are being ordered b) adjust the price manually on the order without a coupon code c) notate the Private Notes that you adjusted the pricing manually because JC approved)
  4. If you have entered the coupon code for a customer and they decide not to order, remove the coupon code from your shopping cart (If you do not remove the coupon code it will remain in your cart and the next phone order you take will receive that discount and it will look like you are giving it our unauthorized)
  5. Every order that has the CSR15 coupon code in it MUST have a corresponding ZingTree that routes through the consumed cartridge page
  6. Make sure you are notating the Private Notes in the new order “Applied CSR15 for consumed on order #xxxxxxx”
  7. I also want you to start putting the “Applied CSR15 to order #xxxxxxx for consumed on order #xxxxxxx” to the Account Notes so we will be able to tell if a customer is taking advantage (I found a string of three orders that the customer kept calling and having the same conversation and still getting the CSR15 on the next order. This isn’t a code for the customer to take advantage of so please be aware of the order notes and if we have offered this discount before. If we have, bring the order to me to see how to proceed with the customer)
