W15: Final Presentations

Welcome to TECH 120. This is a 3 credit hour course and meets for 2 hours and 50 minutes weekly. The syllabus describes the course:

Students in this course will engage in critical analysis of real-world problems and global challenges. They will demonstrate the ability to recognize opportunity and to take initiative in developing solutions applying the principles of human-centered design. Students will be able to communicate effectively and to work well on teams. Problems and solutions will be examined from societal, cultural, and ethical perspectives.

Objectives

The objective of this session is to:

  • Teams will use the first 30 minutes of class to finalize and coordinate their presentations
  • Final Presentations to Instructor and/or Jury
  • Review of final course requirements

In this section, we focus on the Evaluation and Communication phases of the Design Process (see image below)

Final Presentations

  • Using the Final Presentation Guidelines (see below), teams will present their final projects to the instructor and/or a jury
  • Presentations will be between 15 and 20 minutes
  • Teams will facilitate a 3-5 minutes Q&A at the completion
  • Instructor, Jury and/or other students will provide feedback

      • GROUP: W15: Final Site Submission (Submit link via email, with names of all team members, to combs26@purdue.edu) - 200 Points
      • GROUP: W15: Final Video (Included on website, but graded separately) - 200 Points
      • INDIVIDUAL: W15: Peer Evaluation (Complete the Peer Evaluation found at https://goo.gl/forms/msWRkiU5WEBfrcy43 ) - 100 Points
      • INDIVIDUAL: W15: Course Evaluation (Using the link sent from Purdue WL, complete the course evaluation. Capture a screenshot of your completions screen and submit that to the course management system) - 50 points EXTRA CREDIT!
