- Using the Blackboard Messages tool to communicate
- Select course from the Blackboard main page
- Select Tools | Communications from the left-hand
- Select Messages from the Communications page
- Check your online discussions for proper spelling (spell check is available in the course management system), grammar and punctuation.
Instructional:
This week serves as an introductory session to the very basics of information technology. A basic terminology guide, this lecture allows us to communicate and discuss information technology using common verbiage. We will in later weeks discuss how information technology impacts agriculture and agricultural technologies.

- Review of last week's information technology survey (course management system)
- Review of discussion board procedures (new threads, grammar, punctuation, spelling, this not not texting!)
- Review of questions from last week's discussion board (course management system)
Online:
- Complete the Computer Evaluation discussion on the course management system (20 points). Detailed instructions are online.
- Complete the Personal Computer Technologies quiz on the course management system (10 points).
