2015 Asian American Heritage Month Celebration

2015 Asian American Heritage Month Celebrations were held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 between 2 and 4 PM at the Meeting Rooms A+B at the Leroy Collins Leon County Public (Main) Library, 200 West Park Avenue. The event was open to everyone and the admission was free. Eighty to hundred people including adults and children attended the event.

The event featured the performers (from these associations): Middle Eastern dances (Firestorm/ACT), Hip-Hop dance (TCC Dance Company/ACT), Zheng instrumental music rendition (Haiqiong/CAT), Saxophone music rendition (BBFAA), Indian classical instrumental music rendition (IATLH), Tamil classical vocal musical rendition (TTS/IATLH), chilren's ballet dance (CAT), Filipino dance (TMYDC/BBFAA), and Filipino Martial Arts.

There were information booths from Asian Coalition of Tallahassee, Chinese Association of Tallahassee, Japanese Community of Tallahassee, FSU-Muslim Students Association, Center for Global Engagement, Bigbend Filipino Association of Tallahassee, and Tallahassee Primary Care Associates.
