Stephen Macnamara, Petie Barry, Hugh Norton, ~2 hours

This was our first trip back since April, to put in the scaff bars we had left there from last time. The weather was wet, but not yet wet enough to see which direction the water goes, or to hear the stream inside the entrance.

No movements were evident, so we went down to the final chamber to put in 3 pieces near the digface. After this, the remaining pieces were too short to be of much use on their own, so we decided to leave for further digging in Old Barr. Unfortunately, a slabby boulder the size of a Scottish Highland Terrier was knocked on the way out, just above the dig. It's holding nothing above it, but strangely it's holding up a bit of a stack of boulders underneath it. Not catastrophic, but it will need to be sorted out.

We will need several long scaff bars - at least 2m each - for our return. Plenty of connectors there already.

Steve.
