David out next Friday - Sunday; Brian out Saturday (flies early Sunday morning), returning following Saturday. Arthur and Adam sound like they’re OK with watching RRR for next Saturday’s feature, and Brian was OK with missing it since he’s already halfway through it himself. We can keep Cucuruz Doan’s Island as a fallback, or maybe watch it the following week.

Week 3

A couple of our regulars are out this week and next, so our schedule will be a bit irregular to match. This week that means no samplers and holding back on some of our regular shows, but more samplers.

An animated movie Steve (Racer, not -zilla) dubbed will be in theaters starting August 25.

Gene took off at break, as did David; that left only Alan, Stevezilla, and Arthur. At that point we decided to push back Heavenly Delusion so fewer people would miss it, and watch samplers that we’d re-sample on Saturdays.  

Arthur took off about 10 minutes into Ooku; Alan and Steve were the only ones left, and we decided to stop sampling it about halfway through (although Steve still seemed intrigued by it). We then sampled: 

Victor showed up about halfway through My Happy Marriage 2. Incidentally, My Happy Marriage introduced a bit of surprise in terms of its premise/worldbuilding in episode 2. Adam showed up right around the end of things.

We only bailed on one of the samplers (My Unique Skill Makes Me OP Even at Level 1), so we watched The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today before the break. Between that and a longish break, we started after intermission at 8:45, which was a bit late for most of the feature ideas, so we ended up going with Trigun: Badlands Rumble since it’s only 90 minutes long (Alan had put it down as suggestion because he figured some folks either hadn’t seen it, at least recently, and some folks might want to wash the taste of Trigun Stampede out of their mouths).

Week 5

Everyone's supposed to be back in town this week, so things are back to usual, right? Not exactly...we're currently between arcs in Jujutsu Kaisen, so there's a 3-week gap with a pair of recap episodes and a week with just nothing (which gives us time to do some more sampling on Fridays), and starting this Saturday we start working on the long-delayed episodes 9-12 of Nier:Automata.

We ended up watching the Dragon Ball Super movie. People seemed to like it pretty well, even those who had limited or no experience with Dragonball.
