10:30 - 11:20 Ben-To 1-2
Attendance: 6
Guy, Adam, Alan, Jenia, Brian, Cat Stevens
Notes: SpaceBros was received fairly indifferently. Electromagnetic Girlfriend had our attention (one key part: the smoothly animated jaw drop when Ochibana tels Juuzawa about the nature of their supposed connection).
7 - 7:40 Sampler:Jormungand and Kuromajo-san ga Tooru!!
7:40 - 8:30 Rinne no Lagrange 3-4
8:30 - 9:20 Tiger and Bunny 4-5

Attendance: 8
Guy, Alan, Steve Racer, Jenia, Cat Stevens, Sean, Brian, Adam
Notes: Alan, Jenia, and one Caltech grad student Jenia knows went down to Newport Beach Center for the showing of Oblivion Island at the Newport Beach Film Festival. It's a basically sound, very well-animated children's movie.
7 - 7:25 Sampler: Sankarea
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 5
7:50 - 8:40 Tiger and Bunny 6-7
8:40 - 8:50 intermission
8:50 - 10:45 Feature: Kara no Kyoukai movie 5
Attendance: 9
Gene, Cat Stevens, Steven, Alan, Arthur, Adam, Victor, Steve Racer, Alexa
7 - 7:50 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 6-7
7:50 - 9:05 Nisemonogatari 6-8
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:30 Future Diary 6-8
10:30 - 11:20 Ben-To 6-7
Attendance: 7
Arthur, Adam, Victor, Cat Stevens, Alan, Jenia, Brian
Notes: Alan (and the projector) were late arriving on Saturday, so things started late and ran late. Arthur gave out his phone number so folks wouldn't get stuck outside his complex again, and the projector equipment was left at Arthur's so he could start the next week's showings on time even if other folks were late arriving. This was a change in plans - Jenia would be out of town the 5/11-5/13 weekend, so we moved showings from the Catalina apartments to the weekend of the 19th, and set a 2nd Saturday of showings for Arthur's.
7 - 7:25 Sampler: Tsuritama
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 6
7:50 - 9:05 Tiger and Bunny 8-10
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:55 Feature: more samplers!
oh, and Magical Index II episodes 10 and 13
Attendance: 8
Gene, Adam, Cat Stevens, Sean, Alan, Arthur, Brian, Victor
7 - 8:15 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 8-10
8:15 - 9:30 Nisemonogatari 9-11
9:30 - 9:40 intermission
9:40 - 10:30 Future Diary 9-10
10:30 - 11:20 Ben-To 8-9
Attendance: 6
Arthur, Adam, Cat Stevens, Steven, Alan, Victor
Notes: We made sure to finish Nisemonogatari this week so we wouldn't cause any issues with showings at the Cats (Catalina apartments). Nichijou was watched out of order - Arthur's PS3 can't stream Crunchyroll, so he tried showing transcoded episodes...but the subs weren't burned in. So Nichijou episodes 8 and 10 were watched first, followed by 9 via Crunchyroll when other equipment arrived.
7 - 7:25 Sampler: Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 7
7:50 - 8:40 Tiger and Bunny 11-12
8:40 - 8:50 intermission
8:50 - 10:55 Feature: Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners) movie 6 and Magical Index II episodes 17 and 18
Attendance: 6
Gene, Brian, Alan, Jenia, Cat Stevens, Victor
7 - 7:15 setup (and shorts, if time permits)
7:15 - 8:30 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 11-13
8:30 - 8:55 Future Diary 11
8:55 - 9:05 intermission
9:05 - 9:55 Future Diary 12-13
9:55 - 11:10 Ben-To 10-12
Attendance: 9
Jenia, Alan, Steve Racer, Arthur, Cat Stevens, Sean, Brian, Victor, Adam
Notes: Everybody seemed to really like Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, even if we couldn't decide who was trolling more: the ghost or the animators. We had some extra time on Friday, so we watched about 20 minutes of an OVA called "Goddamn!", which seems to be about racing and which didn't really hold our interest.
7 - 7:25 Sampler: Zetman
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 8
7:50 - 9:05 Tiger and Bunny 13-15
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:45 Feature: Combat Butler Hayate: Heaven is a Place on Earth and Urusei Yatsura special: Swim Meet Obstacle Course
Attendance: 5
Gene, Alan, Jenia, Victor, Adam
7 - 7:50 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 14-15
7:50 - 9:05 Maria Holic Alive 1-3
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:05 Future Diary 14-15
10:05 - 11:20 Bunny Drop 1-3
Attendance: 6
Guy, Adam, Cat Stevens, Alan, Jenia, Victor
Notes: Zetman seemed interesting, but not so much that people were especially interested in checking out more of it. Things started late and ran a bit long, so we didn't get around to watching the UY special. Sadly, the Combat Butler Hayate movie didn't measure up to the TV series for us - too much sentimentality, not enough comedy.
7 - 7:25 Sampler: Polar Bear Cafe
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 9
7:50 - 8:40 Tiger and Bunny 16-17
8:40 - 8:50 intermission
8:50 - 10:55 Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners) movie 7 (yes, this is the last of them)
Attendance: 10
Gene, Alan, Cat Stevens, Jenia, Lucy (who Gene knew from Bridge Club), Adam, Steve Racer, Alexa, Arthur, Victor
7 - 8:15 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 16-18
8:15 - 9:05 Maria Holic Alive 4-5
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:30 Future Diary 16-18
10:30 - 11:20 Bunny Drop (aka Usagi Drop) 4-5
Attendance: 10
Guy, Cat Stevens, Sean, Steven, Brian, Alan, Adam, Arthur, Victor, Jenia
Notes: Polar Bear Cafe didn't go over very well; we could see the comedic intent, but it seemed to spend more time being aggravating than funny. Kara no Kyoukai's finale ended up being a bit more drool-tastic than we were expecting, but overall it was OK. It's easy to see why people talked up its visual quality, less so its story (which wasn't bad so much as nothing special). Saturday had some weird delays because Guy's landline didn't hang up correctly and we couldn't call to be let in - the solution was to keep going through cell phone numbers until we reached somebody who was already inside.
7 - 7:25 Sampler: Medaka Box
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 10
7:50 - 9:05 Tiger and Bunny 18-20
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:55 Even more samplers!

9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 9:55 Future Diary 19-20
9:55 - 11:20 Bunny Drop (aka Usagi Drop) 6-8
Attendance: 6
Guy, Alan, Jasen, Brian, Arthur, Steve Racer
Trip down to Anaheim for freemium con AM2.
Attendance: 4
Alan, Arthur, Claire, Adam
Notes: Samplers were mostly a bust - it was hard to take Medaka Box at all seriously, hard to be interested in Eureka 7 AO, hard to keep watching Mysterious Girlfriend X at many points, and we just gave up on Acchi Kocchi completely about 8 minutes in. But everybody seemed to enjoy Lupin/Fujiko.
On Saturday we actually only watched episodes 6 and 7 of Bunny drop; that allows us to watch 2 episodes each of the next 2 weeks (the schedule has been adjusted).
7 - 7:50 Samplers: Natsuiro Kiseki and Kuroko's Basketball
7:50 - 8:15 Rinne no Lagrange 11
8:15 - 9:05 Tiger is a Dumbass 21-22
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:55 Even more samplers!
* Upotte!! (ep. 10)
* Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos
* Hyouka

Attendance: 9
Alan, Adam, Cat Stevens, Steven, Victor, Brian, Jenia, Steve Racer, Arthur
7 - 8:15 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 21-23
8:15 - 9:05 Maria Holic Alive 9-10
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:30 Future Diary 21-23
10:30 - 11:20 Bunny Drop (aka Usagi Drop) 8-9
Attendance: 8
Arthur, Adam, Victor, Cat Stevens, Brian, Alan, Jenia, David
Notes: Gene couldn't be at this Friday's showings, but he kindly allowed us to use his house anyways. Future Diary kicked into TOTAL INSANITY mode this week. As for samplers, we abandoned Hyouka a few minutes in, but felt that AKB0048 was surprisingly watchable (as long as it stayed just as crazy as it started), and Nyarko-san was much better than the net animation. We were largely indifferent to the other samplers...
No showings due to Anime Expo
7 - 7:25 Samplers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199
7:25 - 7:50 Rinne no Lagrange 12
7:50 - 9:05 Bunny Isn't Too Sharp, Either 23-25
9:05 - 9:15 intermission
9:15 - 10:55 Features:
* the number 5, via a choice between

Attendance: 8
Gene, Jenia, Alan, Cat Stevens, Arthur, Brian, Adam, Steve Racer
7 - 8:15 Nichijou (aka My Ordinary Life) 24-26
8:15 - 9:05 Maria Holic Alive 11-12
9:05 - 9:15 intermission

10:30 - 11:20 Bunny Drop (aka Usagi Drop) 10-11
Attendance: 6
Guy, Alan, Jenia, Victor, Adam, Arthur
Notes: Friday we watched a few minute of The Five Star Stories before bailing on that (folks who hadn't seen it in 20 years remembered why they hadn't), so we watched a few random things - episode 1 of Moyashimon returns, and a music video full of memes. Yamato 2199 seemed to be pretty well received. As for scheduling for next season, we decided to spend 2 weeks sampling things and voting, then kick off the summer season on Friday 7/27.
