Project description:
I used the project laser-t.a.g. from the graffiti research lab to create a musical interface.
The project consists of:
a beamer
a laser pointer
a webcam
The software can track the laser pointer and draws an open shape. A circle will follow the same line and play samples at a certain interval.
The higher the line is drawn the lower the sample-rate which creates a lower pitch. The screen is also devidid into left/right meaning left panning, right panning. The software has 2 modes, one with just a single sample and one with 4 different samples.
