my old media hero is Bruce Haack, a little known electronic music composer from the united states, who was active in the 1960's and 1970's.
he created weird little songs for commercials and his own albums (which were mostly aimed at childeren), where he would create his own synthesizers in the proces. he also created the first vocoder, which became one of the characteristic elements in his music: his own robotic voice.
even if many of the songs were aimed at childeren, his music has always had a dark or dirty undertone which makes it all the more appealing to adults.
