I've been interested in music as long as I can remember. I started with playing the keys and gradually started to make my own music on synthesizers and grooveboxes (the 505 was my ship back then). Around 2005 I studied Audio engineering at the SAE and worked at a small subsidized studio in Rotterdam for a while. After a year I wanted to focus more on my own music, rather than recording someone else's, and applied at the Sonology departement at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. In these few years I did some live improv performances and had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some great musicians, who inspired me to improve my act, which is still an ongoing thing. After I've received my bachelors in music, I applied for the Media Technology program in Leiden, mainly because my interest had shifted more towards interactive sound installations rather than strictly composing and performing electronic music.
