Steampunk tweets is built as a tribute to the earliest form of digital communication, telegram. The project consists of two parts (hardware and software).
1- Software is built on openframeworks. The application is connected to a twitter account (nmnt_telegram) and every tweet directed to the account is converted into a morse then sent to the arduino so that it can be played on the telegram.
2- Hardware consists of a telegraph built with old clock parts and an arduino. The arduino converts the morse code signals received from the software into ON and OFFs on the telegram.
