FRINGE BENEFITS COMMITTEE REPORT

Goals for 2010

1. Bring informational programs to the NCEA annual meeting in regard to selection of long term care accounts, government health care programs, and an update on fringe benefits from a UNL Faculty Senate perspective.

2. Continue to communicate with Faculty Senate and UNL Fringe Benefits Committee to further the fringe benefits package, to include increasing contributions to the retirement program and wellness programs for off campus staff.

3. Facilitate a better understanding of current benefits package.

4. Monitor changes at teh Federal level that could impact NCEA members.

5. Continue to provide information to NCEA membership in regard to UNL fringe benefits.

Action Plan

• Provide a speaker(s) at the 2010 NCEA Annual Conference to discuss aspects of the Federal government new health care program and an update of UNL Fringe Benefits.
• Include an article in the NCEA newsletter regarding updates on UNL benefits including long term care options.
