FileAway 2.0 links to the Android Download Manager to facilitate the organizing of documents right from the download. This can be achieved in two ways. The first way is through the Add Document option. The URL and other details of the document can be keyed into the Location field. A Title is always required for the download to be activated. On activation, the job will be passed to the Android download manager. The usual notifications will be available outside the FileAway app. Within the FileAway app, the download status is indicated by icons that appear on the right hand side of the List Item. The other way to trigger the download is via Intent Filters. Clicking on a link in the browser will activate the Android Chooser Dialog. The FileAway app will be in thie Dialog. Clicking on the FileAway app will activate the download.
FileAway 2.0 also allows the download of documents with mimetypes of text/plain and text/rtf. FileAway 2.0 also allows storing of links. Links are stored when the link clicked has a mimetype of text/html. This is activated through internal logic.
Finally, FileAway 2.0 allows storing of 50 items. Up from 20 in FileAway 1.0.
