Description
This is an older cottage, understood to have been built in 1762, set gable end onto the road, with rendered walls under a part thatch and part concrete plain tile roof. It has been considerably extended and modified.
In the Enclosure Award the land on which this cottage stood was attributed to Henry Mynett. It appears that Philip Wright obtained the cottage from William Tuck on 23 September, 1817. It also appears that an adjoining Orchard or Close of about one acre was formerly divided and owned by James Guy and Samuel Johnson. [Cambridgeshire Archives, Ref. P78/25(12-15), examined 19 October, 2011.]
Offered for sale in April 2016 at £475,000. It comprises a lobby, entrance hall, dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, lounge, three bedrooms including an en suite, and a study. Approximate gross internal area 1557 sq. ft.
Offered for sale at £625,000 in April 2023. Reduced to £595,000 in October 2023 and to £575,000 in December 2023.
