All glory, laud, and honor
To you redeemer, king.

Made sweet hosannas ring.
You are the king of Israel!
And David’s royal Son,
Now in the Lord’s name coming,
Our King and Blessed One. Refrain
The multitude of pilgrims
With palms before you went.
Our praise and prayer and anthems
Before you we present. Refrain
To you, before your Passion,
They sang their hymns of praise.
To you, now high exalted,
Our melodies we raise. Refrain
Their praises you accepted;
Accept the prayers we bring,
Great author of all goodness,
O good and gracious King. Refrain

Psalm Response: I Trust In You, O God
Words & Music: W. Michael Aguilar III © 1999, Shandy Music Industries, PO Box 10402, Portland, OR 97296.
Cantor:
Have mercy on me, ... O Lord, my eyes full of grief.
Congregation Response:
I trust in you, O God. ... Deliver me and save me...
P: (spoken over music) Have mercy on me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes are wasted by vexation, my substance and body too. My life is spent in sorrow, my years in groaning; my strength fails because of my iniquity, my limbs waste away.
A: Because of all my foes I am the laughing-stock of my neighbors, a horror to my friends; those who see me on the street avoid me.
P: I am put out of mind like the dead;
A: I am like an object given up for lost.
P: I hear the whisperings of many, intrigue on every side, as they scheme together against me, plotting to take my life.
A: But I trust in You, O Lord; I say,”You are my God!” My fate is in Your hand; save me from the hand of my enemies and pursuers. Make Your face to shine upon Your servant; Save me in Your lovingkindness.

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Offering Song: “Love Consecrates the Humblest Act”
Tune Name: TWENTY-FOURTH
Text: Silas B. McManus, c. 1902, alt.
Music: attr. Lucius Chapin, 1760-1842
Love consecrates the humblest act
And haloes mercy’s deeds;
It sheds a benediction sweet
And hallows human needs.
When in the shadow of the cross
Christ knelt and washed the feet
Of his disciples, he gave us
A sign of love complete.
Love serves and willing stoops to serve;
What Christ in love so true
Has freely done for one and all,
Let us now gladly do!
Offering Prayer:
The Prayers of the Church
P: Lord, in your mercy you taught us to pray,
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever. Amen.
The Closing
(Based on Philippians 2:5-11)
Closing Refrain: Behold Your King!
Words & Music: W. Michael Aguilar III © 1999, Shandy Music Industries, PO Box 10402, Portland, OR 97296.
Cantor:
Behold your king! Behold your King! Obedient,...Exalted and mighty King!
Congregation:
Behold your king! Behold your King! Obedient,...Exalted and mighty King!
P: (spoken over music) Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
A: Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
P: For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
C: so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Closing Refrain: Behold Your King!

Sending Song: “Go to Dark Gethsemane”
Tune Name: GETHSEMANE
Text: James Montgomery, 1771-1854
Music: Richard Redhead, 1820-1901
Go to dark Gethsemane,
All who feel the tempter’s pow’r;
Your Redeemer’s conflict see.
Watch with him one bitter hour;
Turn not from his griefs away;
Learn from Jesus Christ to pray.
Follow to the judgement hall,
View the Lord of life arraigned;
Oh, the wormwood and the gall!
Oh, the pangs his soul sustained!
Shun not suff’ring, shame, or loss;
Learn from him to bear the cross.
Calv’ry’s mournful mountain climb;
There, adoring at his feet,
Mark that miracle of time,
God’s own sacrifice complete.
“It is finished!” hear him cry;
Learn from Jesus Christ to die.
Early hasten to the tomb
Where they laid his breathless clay;
All is solitude and gloom.
Who has taken him away?
Christ is ris’n! He meets our eyes.
Savior, teach us so to rise.
A: Go now in peace. Serve the Lord!
C: Thanks be to God.
