SPEED LIMIT POSTED - Maximum Speed 10 mph

Post date: Apr 22, 2018 6:43:12 PM

Several owners have been complaining about vehicles speeding through Kinney Village; endangering pedestrians and children at play. Upon addressing one resident, who was speeding, he/she stated that the speed limit is 15mph and he/she was ONLY doing 20mph. Do not try this at home, but I think we can all agree that 20mph is too fast! This leaves little time to avoid someone stepping out into the roadway, or walking/playing in the roadway around one of the turns. In an effort to enforce the speed and promote safety in our streets, the Board adopted a rule placing the speed limit at 10 miles per hour on any road in Kinney Village. This was adopted at the Board Meeting on April 14, 2018, and is included in the General Rules & Regulations Policy, P-2018-1.Speed Limit Signs are now posted in both Phase I and Phase II.

In an effort to avoid the placement of speed bumps, please comply with the new speed limit, and be watchful of others while traveling within Kinney Village.
