KM Institute Presentation on E-Learning Technologies -- Part 1 -- Part 2
KM Institute Chairman Douglas Weidner looks at knowledge bases, and what information is documented within them, stating that older workers' knowledge should not be lost in a corporation when they retire. He also discusses moving from so-called just-in-case training, where information is provided to learners in case they ever need it, to just-in-time learning, where small pieces of learning are made available to those who need it, within the knowledge base, and learners can review it just before they need to use it. Finally, a discussion of interactive video is presented.
