It's already Week 7? That just seems ridiculous to me. But here we are, with only ten days to go until the first class of this fast-paced grad school experience is complete.
Today was a wild day. I had a job interview today. Although the job is not foundationally-based in education, there were definitely certain elements of this course which I was able to apply to my interview. I honestly do not feel that great about the interview. I think I did okay but I certainly did not knock it out of the park. In short, if I was their #1 candidate going in, I am probably still the front-runner. If I wasn't, I'm probably not. I'm okay either way though.
Back to class...
Today I made all the changes that Dr. Delich suggested/recommended/requested as part of the grading of the Guidebook chapters and research articles. I've already made most of the changes suggested to this e-portfolio and will get the rest worked on this week. I also uploaded my "innovations" page, which contains links to how technologies are being used to further education. That is this week's e-portfolio assignment. Next week, I polish this all up and then it is done for this class. But it will still be under construction!
Lastly, this week's reading assignments and research have been interesting. I am giving a presentation next weekend and I found myself going back in and attributing all the photos (even though we specifically state that users who submit photos to us agree to their images becoming public domain, because we're a governmental entity). I thought about how much I would like it if someone was plastering my nature photos everywhere -- and I'd want them to at least say they were mine.
