HRE 585 - Program Evaluation in eLearning

HRE 585, Program Evaluation in eLearning, was the seventh course in the M.Ed. program. It had two primary focal points: the concept and use of appreciative inquiry in evaluating eLearning programs, and program evaluation standards as determined by the Joint Commission on Evaluation. This course required a variety of assignments, including a weekly blog, discussions, analysis of a case study, and a final project and presentation -- a white paper for a fictitious, but realistic, technology evaluation. You can view my final presentation here, and the final paper, along with all other submissions, below.

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:

  • Apply course material using the standards of evaluation practice within the context of Appreciative Inquiry.
  • Create and maintain an individual blog throughout the course that synthesizes the information you have learned along with your insights on the various topics.
  • Summarize content from your course project in a formal, live (or pre-recorded) presentation.
