Chart Critique:

This chart does a pretty good job at portraying the correlation between gun possession and murders committed with guns within countries around the world, specifically showing that the United States has the highest percentage compared to anywhere else. The only highlighted bar on both graphs is the red one for the United States, which is also the highest bar. Also, the labels and axis for both graphs are easy to read and the numbers on both axis are in bold, so they don't fade into the background. I also think the use of neutral colors helps with portraying the information because it doesn't overwhelm the user but allows them to quickly discover the difference between the use of guns in America versus the rest of the world. The charts do a great job and making the countries listed on the axis very legible and the small caption within each chart helps us see how many people own guns/are murdered by guns (per 100 /100,000 people) without distorting the data. However, the charts don't have other factors that could contribute to the amount of guns owned by a certain population of people or the reason why murders are committed with guns in a particular area, which could help a person fully come to a conclusion of whether or not more guns will equal more death as the title states.
