• • Let the Police know! This is a great service that the City does. You go to the police station and fill out a form saying how long you will be away and what cars will be in the driveway, and the Police will do drive-by's and even walk the perimeter of your house while you are away.

  • Let your neighbors know! Make sure your neighbors know when you will be away and when you will be returning.

  • Driveway - let your neighbor park their car in your driveway while you are away.

  • Keep a light on - Putting a light or two on timers is a good idea. I also like to have a radio playing (talk, not music).

  • Stop your paper/mail - A bunch of newspapers sitting on your front step is a pretty good sign that you are not home. Stop them or have someone pick them up.
