VSF Setting and Reboot

VSF 是Aruba 交換器 很重要的容錯技術之一...VSF 設定上非常簡單

只要第一部交換器 設定好

重開 VSF 設備有下列幾種方式

Reload / boot / reboot 標準 都只會重開 VSF 第一台(Commander )交換器

Aruba-VSF-2930F(config)# reload

The commander will now reboot, and the standby will become the new

commander. Continue [y/n]? n

Aruba-VSF-2930F(config)# boot

The commander will now reboot from the primary image. The standby

will become the commander. Do you want to continue [y/n]? n

Aruba-VSF-2930F(config)#

Aruba-VSF-2930F(config)# reboot

The commander will now reboot, and the standby will become the new

如果要重開機特定交換器 請用 下列指令 ...boot vsf member 後面一定要下參數 要重開哪一部交換器

簡易的設定方式

Did you know you can configure VSF in 2 steps?

With 2 Aruba 5400R switches (2x5406R or 2x5412R), both with a factory-default configuration, you can configure VSF in 2 steps.

Step 1:

• Add ports to the VSF link on 1st switch - Enable VSF and assign a domain
  • (config)# vsf member 1 link 1 9
  • (config)# vsf enable domain 1
  • (config)# vsf member 2 type jlxxx
  • (config)# vsf member 2 link 1 2/9

Step 2:

• Verify 2nd switch has a factory-default configuration and connect 2nd switch to the VSF port on 1st switch
  • 2nd switch will automatically enable VSF and add the connected port to the VSF link
