Using mobile client to access HP's IMC (Intelligent Management Center)
System Requirements
A mobile device installed with Android 2.1 update1 or higher OR an Apple iPhone installed with iPhone 4.3.2 or newer.
Screen resolution HVGA(480*320) or WVGA(800*480).
Connectivity that allows the mobile device can communicate with the iMC server (through WiFi, for example).
Please note that the IMC Manager Client for iOS requires Intelligent Management Center 5.1 or later to connect.
Install the iMC client program
Use the browser of the mobile device to access http://imc-addr:port/imc/noAuth/imc.apk , where imc-addr is the address of the iMC server, and port is the web service port (8080 by default).
The browser automatically downloads the client program. After download, follow the instructions to install the client program.
If the message “Programs from unknown sources are not allowed to install“ appears during installation, make sure you have selected the Unknown sources option in Settings > Applications .
After installation, open the iMC client program.
Login
The following page appears when you first open the client program.
Type the iMC server address. The address format is http://imc-addr:port , where imc-addr is the address of the iMC server, and port is the web service port (8080 by default). Do not add /imc at the end of the address. To use a secure connection, use the address format https://imc-addr:port (default port is 8443).
Type the username. The username must exist on the iMC. The operator group of the operator corresponding to the username must have the right for mobile client access (set in iMC Platform > Resource Manager > Mobile Client Access ).
Select Save password and Auto login as needed.
Type the password, and click Login .
Basic functions
The mobile client provides the following functions.
View information about faulty devices and interfaces, and query specific devices.
View device alarms.
Inform real-time alarms.
Test device reachability (ping, traceroute).
View custom and device views.
Use Android browser to access iMC and perform configuration and management operations.
