EZCP - Getting Started

Getting started with EZCP

    1. All the following files need to be in the same folder on the PC:
      • EZCP application
      • EZCP dial-up phone book – this isn’t a phone book, it’s what the program uses for its punishment book
      • One or more of the offence folders. This version recognises three “context” categories – School, Domestic and Society
    2. If these files are all in place, when you double click on the application, it should launch, giving you the opportunity to configure various things, including selecting the context.
    3. You can edit the offence folders, but they have to stay in the same format and keep the same name. It’s best to edit these with Notepad or similar text editor. You can change these to show any offences and punishments you like. You can have as many offences as you like, but each one needs to have three levels of punishment, which equate to the three levels of pain threshold. In addition, you can add additional punishments at the end, which the program selects at random if “Needs severe discipline” is selected in the “additional punishment dialogue box.
    4. The program tracks previous punishments for a 4 week period and increases the numerical value of all punishments with each subsequent offence. Therefore, any number in the offences folder which is not a number of strokes needs to be in words – i.e. nine tailed flogger not 9 tailed flogger.
    5. Any jpeg pictures you add to the folder containing the program will display, at random within the program, which is a nice way of personalising it.
    6. There are errors and inconsistencies in the way in which punishments are calculated. I have a detailed note on these should you be interested.
