With Google Analytics I can see how many visitors have visited my website and how they have walked through my website and much more. But often these figures are clouded by the fact that I have visited my website myself 100 times in a month. Something can be done about this by removing my IP address, so that I get graphs and tables in Google Analytics from my visitors without including myself as a visitor.
IP stands for Internet Protocol. Every computer connected to the Internet or network has a number that makes it visible to all other computers on the Internet. This can be compared to unique telephone numbers. These numbers are IP addresses.
On the site 'what is my ip-address' I can request my ip-address: http://www.watismijnip.nl/. These can be entered in Google Analytics, so that I am left out of the graphs, tables (numbers). Don't forget to exclude all employees or the webbuilder. They have to give me their number, because Google annominates all the data, before I get to see it.
In this explanation I assume that I have already installed Google Analytics on my website and are already using it. Go to Google Analytics and login with my google account (my gmail login).
