I came to the Veerkrachtfabriek when a website had to be built. I was asked by the manager and the project was led by a project leader. A team was formed and met every month to talk about where the Veerkrachtfabriek wanted to go and what the website should look like and what should be on the website. The result was a beautiful website that showed the art talent of young people and their resilience after a crisis. In addition, there was an Awareness-tour where about 50 young people gave lectures across the country on stigma in mental health. During the tour especially the higher education of MBO, HBO and WO and aid workers were visited.
The Veerkrachtfabriek project ended for me in 2015 when a Glossy with the younsters was published and I was allowed to participate in:
The art festival night (Kunstfestivalnacht) in Den Bosch to support some of the youngsters reading a poem that night
Dutch Health Hackathon in Leeuwarden
Mental health seminars with a booth and posters.
The Veerkrachtfabriek and the X (formerly Twitter) (I handled it for a while) went back to the young people of the ABC-huis who came up with the concept.
