Refunds can only be done in the office ON THE SAME DAY as the patient's exam.
If a patient comes back at a later date requesting a refund, it must be handled through the billing office. The patient should be referred to Scott directly, and any information the patient brings, such as a copy of their AAA or insurance cards, should be scanned in to Crystal. You can also send the patients request to Scott using the "Billing Questions" tab.
If a patient comes in without his or her insurance card and we have not verified the insurance, they must pay for the exam. If he or she returns ON THE SAME DAY with the insurance card, we will refund the amount they paid. If they come back later, they must go through billing (see above). This applies to all patients, including those using Eyemed.
If a patient pays for the exam, but thinks / knows they have insurance, give them Scott's name and number at checkout and have them contact him directly with the insurance information.
