Travel Scholarship and awards for Poetry, Prose, Visual Arts

BERTIE GREEN TRAVEL AWARDS FOR JUNIORS

Each year twenty-four travel awards are awarded to high school juniors who are members of SHH. The students travel to a country or region of the Spanish-speaking world; the departure date for the trip is generally scheduled for mid-July. Only one application per chapter is accepted.

BEST OF ALBRICIAS AWARDS

All student contributors chosen for publication in Albricias receive a $35.00 honorarium and are eligible for the Best of Albricias Award. Each artist whose drawing is chosen for the cover of the journal receives $50.00.

Each year three $100 awards and three $50 awards are given in the categories of poetry, prose and graphics. Winners are chosen by a committee of judges from all student contributions published throughout the year.
