The Boston Ciy Council Hearing on designating Hyde-Jackson Square as Boston's Latin Quarter will be on Monday, April 4th from 6-8pm at the Connolly Public Library, 433 Centre Street in Jamaica Plain, MA. [If you wanted more statistics to include, you can start here.]
Whether or not you are able to attend, please submit testimony to: elizabeth.sullivan@boston.gov and ken@hydesquare.org (and cc: rgood@bostonpublicschools.org). Include your full name and address and/or identifying organizations of which you are a part. A subject line might be: "Latin Quarter Testimony". You can also tweet @HydeSquareTF and #LatinQtrBOS
If you are able to attend and testify, to earn extra credit you should take a picture of yourself (or have someone else photograph you as you testify since a selfie would be awkward) and write a detailed reflection on the experience: who did you see there, what was the most powerful testimony and why, why do you think the hearing will or won't have an impact?
