After a ten year absence, the three man hurricane known as Culture Clash is returning to Boston to celebrate their thirty year anniversary with The Muse and the Morros. In anticipation of their production in March, Clashers Richard Montoya and Ric Salinas will be sitting down for a public conversation with ArtsEmerson Director of Artistic Programs David Dower to talk about their experiences telling stories from communities all over the country, including Boston. Don't miss your chance to meet this legendary group whose unique blend of satire, comedy and compassion has made them one of the longest running Latino ensembles in the country.
For extra credit, respond to these questions in detailed, vibrant paragraphs: 1)Why did you chose to attend this event? What is your own relationship to the idea of culture clasees? 2) Speak with someone from Hyde Square Task Force. Identify yourself and why you are there. Record their name, what they do at Hyde Square Task Force, and how their [Latin@] identify affects their experience of the world. In your own words, what is Hyde Square Task Force (Who is it for, what do they do, how can you get involved?). 3)What did you see/feel/experience at the event? Who attended? Who presented? Were the populations different? 4) Record three main points from each speaker (Montoya and Salinas). With whom did you most identify, and why? 5) What questions did audience members ask? What questions are you left with?
