Get ready for a Memorial Day weekend in Boston’s Latin Quarter like never before. May 28-29 at 7:30pm, Double Edge Theatre will present the large-scale indoor/outdoor public performance spectacle Once A Blue Moon – Cada Luna Azul, featuring internationally recognized actors and musicians, as well as HSTF youth performers.
Inspired by Lawrence Thornton’s Imagining Argentina, and authors Isabel Allende and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, the performance follows a traveler who returns to his hometown of Agua Santa after many years. Memories of his past and the stories of the town’s colorful inhabitants evoke reflections on an increasingly universal situation in which ‘progress’ displaces people. It is а story of memory, culture, and song.
