Friday 3/11: Rehearse "Artistas Latin@s" presentations in class. After 10mn of individual prep/practice on the chromebooks, you will have 35mn to present your project 7 times. The sub (or one of you!) should set a timer so that 2.5mn presentation x 2 people in a pair x 7 pairs = 35mn, plus a bit of time to allow for transitions. I miss you! My head hurts a lot so I won't be on email too much, but I will try to answer any questions via rgood@bostonpublicschools.org. Thanks for your patience :) On Monday you need your painting/poem/song/etc. ready to go and we will decide who presents Tues and Wed in the Upper Library. (*También, estoy orgullosa de Uds.: "No cuts at high schools, Walsh says" though we need to continue our advocacy for elementary/middle schools and to prevent future cuts)
Create a GoogleSlides presentation with 3 slides:
1) intro "poster" with their name, photo (that can illustrate what they are known for), map, flag & your 'elevator speech' sentence;
2) your song/dance/painting/poem/monologue & a description and review of it;
3) #1-13 about their life, legacy, etc.
* Title your project with your name followed by your artist's name e.g. Riana Good: Celia Cruz. Sample of Celia Cruz presentation.
Shoutout to Marvin for this link on typing accents on Chromebooks.
Upload/share your project here before class on Monday 3/14. Presentations in the Upper Library 3/15 + 3/16.
