Saturday, November 2 from 12:00-4:00 pm at the Peabody Museum of Archaeology & Ethnology at Harvard University
Families enjoy traditional snacks, folk dance, crafts and live music in specially decorated museum galleries. Create a decorated candy skull or design a message to place upon the altar. Experience the customs that make this Mexican holiday a joyful celebration. All snacks and activities are free with museum admission (which is free if you get a pass from the Boston Public Library!); sugar skulls to decorate are $5 each. Recommended for ages 5 and up, accompanied by an adult. Free event parking is available at the 52 Oxford Street Garage starting at 11:30 AM. You can also go for free on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings to The Peabody Museum's exhibition of a Day of the Dead ofrenda or altar is located in the Encounters With the Americas gallery.
