Opening Reception: May 27th, 2015 (6pm-8pm); light refreshmentsArtist Talk 1: June 5th, 2015Artist Talk 2: June 12th, 2015IBA invites you to join us for an exhibition of exciting new talent from Boston and New York, which exemplify the diversity of the Latino artistic vision and the vastness of its thematic range. Included in the exhibition are works of a sculptural nature, pieces of installation art, photography, traditional (and not so traditional) painting, and film from twelve artists whose backgrounds are as diverse as the works they have created.
For extra credit, respond in detailed, vibrant paragraphs: 1) What did you see? How was it arranged? 2) Did any of the pieces have anything in common? How so? 3) Can you tell that these are by Latin American artists? Why or why not? 4) Describe one piece of work that particularly drew you in, including the title, artist, a brief description, how it might relate to Latin American identity, and why this piece called to you. 5) What additional questions or reflections are you left with?
