Ward Canyon

20 min. + 10 min hike

This isn't a real great place to camp, it's a little rocky and not real level. There are actually two similar spots, this one and another down the trail a short distance. But, it's close and near a decent climbing/repelling rock and near a creek (Stone Creek). Make your way to the parking lot below the Bountiful B and park at the south end. Cross over the barriers and head south east down the dirt road and then up the canyon. You will soon come to a bridge over the creek. You can either turn left before the bridge and head up on the north side of the creek or cross over the bridge and head up the south side of the creek on the dirt road.

The camping areas are on the north side of the creek. But with packs on it might be easier going up the south side and crossing over the creek up by the climbing rock. After crossing the creek by the climbing wall and cement irrigation things, head downstream to the camping areas. The climbing rock is called Carl's Rock or Bcrag. There is also another small camping spot further up the canyon on the south side of the creek, below another climbing rock.
