Crystal Hot Springs

1 hr T

This is a hot springs swimming pool north of Honeyville that is open year around and has camping. They no longer have a special price for scouts to camp and swim. The price is $12 each for swimming & slides. Camping is high at $30 for up to seven people. Even then, it is often full, even in the off season. So you need reservations. Another problem is that trains go by in the middle of the night and blow their horns and they are loud!

I suggest camping at the church camp Petersen Park just six miles away for just $15. And then drive over to Crystal. See the Petersen Park page.

If you haven't been there in the last few years, they have added a new building for dressing rooms & etc. and they have expanded the swimming areas. It is much better than it used to be. They still have two nice water slides and have improved them.

Swimming is better in the evening, since they open late Saturday morning (but stay open until about 10 pm) and Saturday morning brings in families with small children. For reservations see http://www.crystalhotsprings.net/home/ .
