Lone Rock

1 hr T

Lone Rock is a fun place to climb and it's a nice view from the top. There is plenty of room to camp and a couple small caves to see, just below the top on the north west side. Some people rappel off the rock on the east side. There are some spikes in the ground.

To get here, head west of SLC on I80 to the Rowley/Dugway exit #77 and head south on Skull Valley Road (196) about 3 miles until you see a small sign that says "Lone Rock" and a big rock on the right side of the road. Don't take the first road that angles out there. There are camping spots all around the rock. But, the camping is better out in the flatter areas on the west side. There are no trees, facilities or water, just a fun rock to climb. Be aware of target shooters.
