“The scene was super long, it was a very long sequence, and I had to be tied to a chair all day, because for continuity you can’t do the ropes the exact same way, so it has to be, I don’t know…
Interviewer: "You had to be tied up all day?"
“All day. The conversation I had with the director, and they ask you ‘Hey, do you think you can go without things and sit there crying because we can’t untie you at lunchtime or go to the bathroom or whatever.’ Yes. The problem is they tied me to the chair and I started to cry. That was how awful the feeling was because imagine for the first time to be tied to a chair, hands and feet, gagged, my clothes a bit messed up. Very emotional.
Interviewer: "And how did you prepare for the scene, Loreto?"
“The way it is is that Los 80 was an evolution. It wasn’t that I was just preparing the week before. I had been several years preparing for that story line. It was what was always coming within the family story, the most politicized was always Claudia so I knew that some time I would have to do a scene like that. You prepare, investigating, talking to people, which is I think the most important to get the experience, and the rest is to just feel it.”
