I had to be tied up for days in a cold, wet boiler room that smelled like real rotting corpses. It was to say the least, one of the hardest things I ever went through. That kind of pain you cannot be inspired for. You must really live those moments. I wanted to go through the suffering so I could give the audience the truth. I did not want it to be easy or break time after a few scenes. I wanted to be stuck there wretching in pain, spitting all over myself while everyone just stared and couldn’t get there lunch down. That to me, is inspiring. Playing the truth.
