KM “You spent part of the movie chained to a wall, what was that like?”
BB “It was definitely a challenge, I’m not going to lie! But then a lot of this film was, which is what I loved about it. Being tied to a wall, with a mask covering half my face, for a significant chunk of the film, meant I had to find a way to convey every thought, feeling, reaction and emotion with just my eyes. And I really worried that I never emoted enough… But Kiah, the director, said right from the beginning that my ability to show that was one of the reasons he cast me in the first place. I’m one of those people that cannot lie in real life! You can see every thought pass behind my eyes. So hopefully that translated on film…”
Me: So was it just as exhilarating for you in real life to be out of the bonds and to be free?
Bianca: Yeah, it was fun. It was fun to get to do something different. The bonds only lasted for two weekends, so it didn’t really last for that long. I know that it took up most of the film for my character.
Me: How do you feel about that?
Bianca: It doesn’t really bother me, I think some people could get up in arms about the female character being tied up, or the female character wearing a push up bra, or being too sexy. But I don’t think she is too sexy. I actually think Brooke is quite modestly dressed compared to a lot of other female actors out there. I actually had to fight to make her a little bit more sexy, I think you have got to have a little bit of everything.
