In 1911 Charles Henry Harding, then a 14-year-old schoolboy, was living with his family at 115 Hambalt Road, Clapham where they shared eight rooms. Francis Charles Harding, 39, was a compositor, born in Islington, north London; Clara Harding, 37, was from Upper Norwood, south-east London. There were six children, of whom five were on the census return for this address:
