National Archives Officers' Service RecordsWhen the Rev Garrett signed up for military service on 19 February 1917 he gave his address as 69 Watson Road, Worsop, Nottinghamshire. He was 27 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed 11 and a half stone. His hearing, teeth and vision were good, although he wore glasses for reading. He was judged fit for military service.
