Haig's Cider, Herefordshire, United Kingdom

I was able to meet with Robin Haig one Saturday afternoon, and he was kind enough to walk me through his family's orchards and cider house. Robin had some incredible knowledge about his family's land and the wonderful apples cultivated on it. I asked him about a few of the trees and he took me back to the house to pull out the original planting map of the orchard. The map looked ancient, though I am unsure when it was produced. In all my travels, it was one of only two such maps I encountered. If more detail documentation and knowledge like this existed, alot fewer varietals would be nameless apples.
